Documentary on Tourist Survey of Jiuhuashan Global Geopark: The Geopark You Visited is "Listening to You"
To comprehensively grasp the service needs of tourists in Jiuhuashan Global Geopark and promote the upgrading of tourism service quality and scientific management decision-making. Recently, a research team led by teacher Shao Hongmei from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) went to Jiuhuashan Global Geopark to conduct a six-day on-site tourist survey. This survey covered multiple core areas such as Tiantai Scenic Area, Jiuhua Street, Huacheng Temple, and Great Vow Culture Park, comprehensively collecting tourist feedback to provide data support and theoretical basis for geopark management improvement and public science education.

During the survey, the team focused on tourists' opinions and evaluations of mountain geological landscapes, mountaineering experiences, and safety facilities in the Tiantai Scenic Area; in the Jiuhua Street area, they focused on tourists' route choices, leisure consumption behaviors, and the supporting situation of service facilities; at the Huacheng Temple and Great Vow Culture Park attractions, they deeply investigated and explored tourists' perceptions and demands regarding the integrated experience of natural landscapes and religious culture.

The survey adopted a combination of paper questionnaires and online QR code filling, covering a wide range of groups and considering the needs of tourists of different ages and travel types. Within six days, the research team distributed over 300 questionnaires in total, covering multiple dimensions such as basic tourist information, scenic spot attractiveness, service satisfaction, cultural science awareness, and environmental awareness.
Through a combination of questionnaire distribution, tourist interviews, and on-site observations, the research team obtained a large amount of first-hand data, which initially reflected tourists' overall perceptions and suggestions regarding the natural landscape attractiveness, cultural atmosphere, service facilities, and geological knowledge popularization of Jiuhuashan Global Geopark. The survey results will provide important support for tourist evaluations during Jiuhuashan's subsequent re-evaluation as a Global Geopark, and simultaneously provide an empirical basis for geopark management optimization, infrastructure improvement, and the enrichment of popular science content.

This survey is not only an in-depth listening to tourists but also an important practice to promote the sustainable development of Jiuhuashan. In the future, the team will continue to carry out systematic research on topics such as the integrated dissemination of geology and culture in the Global Geopark, and the improvement of ecology and public services, complete detailed analysis reports, promote the transformation and implementation of research results, and help Jiuhuashan Global Geopark achieve higher quality development in terms of geology, ecology, humanities, and sustainable development.
