New Year Celebration at Jiuhua New Area Central Kindergarten in Jiuhuashan Global Geopark

On January 14, Jiuhua New Area Central Kindergarten in Jiuhuashan Global Geopark hosted a themed New Year event titled “Discover the Flavors of Chinese New Year, Celebrate Spring Festival with Joy.” Children and teachers came together to immerse themselves in traditional customs, experiencing the warmth, festivity, and spirit of reunion that define the Chinese New Year.

The celebration began with the lively performance “Dragon and Lion Dance Welcomes the New Year.” Agile dragon and lion performers leapt and twirled across the playground—raising their heads, wagging their tails, and playfully interacting—instantly energizing the atmosphere.

Next came the interactive game “Ring Toss for Fortune and Blessings.” With rings in hand, children eagerly aimed and tossed toward their targets. Those who successfully “captured” New Year goodies beamed with joy, holding their prizes as smiles spread across their faces.

The event concluded with the heartwarming segment “A Taste of the New Year.” Tables were filled with traditional festive foods symbolizing good fortune. Children and teachers sat together, savoring the dishes while laughter and cheerful conversation filled the air, creating a warm and festive sense of togetherness.
