Jiuhuashan Mountain's "natural classroom" has seen a boom in parent-child educational tourism.

This year, many regions across the country have combined the spring break with the Qingming holiday, creating a continuous vacation of up to six days. At the same time, Jiuhuashan Scenic Area has welcomed many families with children. Parents have brought their children to this area, known for its geological wonders and natural beauty, treating it as an "outdoor classroom" without walls. Amidst the mountains and waters, they engage in study tours, allowing children to appreciate the laws of nature while having fun and enjoying the happiness brought by the spring break.

At the core of the World Geopark — the Huatai Scenic Area — a plank walkway winds along the cliff face. Below lies a deep canyon, while in front stretch continuous peaks and forests. It is springtime; fresh greenery is just beginning to emerge on the mountains, dotted with wildflowers. Mist and clouds gather and disperse from time to time, making the granite peaks appear even more magnificent and unique. Accompanied by their parents, children immerse themselves in the breathtaking natural scenery while bending down to observe the textures and forms of the rocks. Geological explanatory signs are placed along the trail, and parents use them to explain to their children how the typical granite landforms of Jiuhuashan were gradually shaped over hundreds of millions of years through crustal movements, weathering, and erosion. Step by step, they experience the long evolutionary history of the Earth and explore the scientific mysteries of deep canyons and steep peaks.

A student, Qi Shijie, said this spring break made him feel especially fulfilled. "Not only did I see beautiful scenery at Jiuhuashan, but I also learned a lot about geology. Walking here has broadened my horizons, and I have grown through this hands-on experience."

Parent Du Yuan said that the spring break, connected to the Qingming holiday, provided ample time. "It's really nice to be able to go out with my child, let him relax and relieve some of the academic pressure."

Ye Pei, Director of the Huatai Cableway of Jiuhuashan Tourism, introduced that in response to the newly established spring break, the Huatai Cableway has launched two types of parent-child discount package tickets: "1 adult + 1 child" and "2 adults + 1 child", with a discount rate of 20%. During the spring break, the number of visitors to the scenic area increased significantly, growing by 50% compared to the same period last year.
