On August 24, 2020 - August 26, from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Zhejiang University, Sichuan University, University of Sheffield, Fudan University and other universities or institutes, geology, tourism management, biological, and other professional 25 volunteers, as well as three observers from other geological park, scientific research units in Jiuhuashan Global Geopark, participated in volunteer training camp of science popularization in Jiuhuashan Global Geopark.
During the volunteer training camp for science popularization in Jiuhuashan, volunteers and science popularization tutors skillfully combined theoretical knowledge learning and field investigation practice. After the activity began, volunteers participated in the lectures held by the park staff and systematically studied the relevant knowledge of Jiuhuashan. Later, the volunteers studied and discussed geological knowledge with the instructors in jiuhuashan Geological Museum, and had a preliminary understanding of the harmonious integration of the unique north subtropical vegetation and Buddhist cultural landscape in Jiuhuashan.
