April 22 is the 53rd Earth Day this year. On the afternoon of April 20, Jiuhuashan Global Geopark entered the Jiuhuashan Central School and held a popular science lecture.
The lecture invited the staff of Administrative Committee of Jiuhuashan Global Geopark as the speaker. The lecture revolved around the 53rd World Earth Day, with the theme of "Cherish the Earth, Harmonious Coexistence between Human and Nature — Geological and Cultural Integration Development of Jiuhuashan". In the form of pictures and texts, the story of Jiuhuashan Geopark is told in detail, including the origin of the name of Jiuhuashan, the geographical location, altitude, area, rock type and formation period of Jiuhuashan. At the same time, through a large photo shows the four seasons landscape and tourism activities of Jiuhuashan, from multiple perspectives shows the architecture, calligraphy and painting, poetry, seal cutting of Jiuhuashan and other colorful cultural landscape.
The "mountain, water, field, forest" life community of Jiuhuashan is a part of the national " mountain, water, field, forest, lake, grass" life community. This popular science campus tour is one of a series of popular science activities carefully prepared by Jiuhuashan Global Geopark and the Jiuhuashan Caring for the Next Generation Working Committee. Next, the Geopark will also carry out more colorful popular science activities, popularize the knowledge of the Geopark, and advocate the primary and secondary school students in Jiuhuashan to love and protect their hometown, which is an important obligation of every Jiuhuashan person.
