On July 16, Wudalianchi UNESCO Global Geopark and Universiti Putra Malaysia’s Department of Recreation and Ecotourism initiated collaborative discussions to advance scientific research, public education, training programs, and sustainable development.
Both parties engaged in dynamic dialogues on geoscience outreach initiatives. Wudalianchi aims to jointly conduct cutting-edge projects in geological studies and ecological conservation with Universiti Putra Malaysia, enhancing the geopark’s global research profile. Collaborative science communication activities—including lectures, exhibitions, and interactive experiences—will be developed to inspire public engagement in nature conservation.
The partnership will extend to ecotourism development, outdoor recreation management, and interpreter training. Universiti Putra Malaysia will design customized professional courses and deploy expert faculty to elevate the geopark’s service standards.
Demonstrating strong mutual commitment to sustainability, Wudalianchi seeks to establish exchanges with Malaysia’s national parks. By integrating advanced management practices and operational expertise, the geopark will optimize its governance frameworks to accelerate sustainable development goals.
