On December 19, Jiuhuashan Scenic Area transformed its Central Grand Hotel into an artistic sanctuary for the "Dancing Brushes, Blessings Across the Land" New Year Calligraphy and Painting Gala. Jointly organized by the Cultural Heritage Protection Center, Cultural Center, Library, and Museum of Jiuhuashan, the event gathered renowned local artists and cultural enthusiasts to welcome 2025 through creative expression.
The afternoon unfolded as a seamless fusion of performance and visual artistry. Traditional Jiuhua folk songs, classical dance pieces, Sichuan face-changing opera, and instrumental performances provided rhythmic inspiration while calligraphers wielded brushes with serpentine grace across rice paper, crafting poetic couplets and "blessing" characters. Painters simultaneously captured Jiuhua’s winter landscapes through ink-wash techniques, their creations reflecting the mountain’s spiritual essence. Amidst this creative symphony, artists exchanged techniques and philosophical insights, deepening their appreciation for China’s calligraphic heritage through mutual critique and cultural dialogue.
