Abundant granite landform - an outstanding example of the large fault-block granite landform

Influenced by the Himalayan movement in the Cenizoic, eastern China intensively uplifted and the sedimentary strata over the Jiuhuashan rock body was completely eroded off, eventually exposing the Jiuhuashan rock body. Comparing to many Chinese geoparks with single geoheritage,the geoheritages of Jiuhuashan Global Geopark is of intact natural state, relatively comprehensive types, various shapes and complete scientific system. It is characterized by granite landforms but also has Quaternary glacial remains, tectonic features and fluvial landscapes including waterfalls.During hundreds of millions of years the mighty tectonic movements and long-term hydrodynamic process have created the magnificent geological landform and splendid natural landscapes of Jiuhuashan area.
