On May 21, 2025,Jiuhuashan Global Geopark welcomed a special group of visitors—the Youth International Exchange Delegation from Gurye County, South Korea. The delegation visited the geopark for study and exchange, aiming to promote cultural communication between young people of the two countries and deepen their understanding of geoparks.
On the same day, the delegation visited the Huatai Scenic Area. As one of the most beautiful areas inJiuhuashan in terms of geological and natural landscapes, Huatai impressed the Korean students with its unique geological features and scenic beauty. Walking along winding paths, the students admired various peak forests and unusual rock formations while attentively listening to explanations from geopark staff and experts about the geological evolution ofJiuhuashan—from an undersea volcano to a renowned mountain on land. They frequently stopped to take notes and used field tools to measure rock joints, demonstrating strong enthusiasm for field-based learning.
The visit of the youth delegation from Gurye County not only provided the students with an opportunity to personally experience China’s natural and cultural charm, but also further strengthened international exchange and cooperation forJiuhuashan Global Geopark. Such activities help enhance friendship between young people of different countries, promote mutual cultural understanding, and lay a solid foundation for future international cooperation.
Taking this opportunity,Jiuhuashan Global Geopark will continue to enhance its international influence, attract more international visitors for study and exploration, and work together to uncover the mysteries of the Earth and appreciate the wonders of nature.
