Traffic Management Notice for Jiuhuashan Global Geopark
To ensure safe, smooth, and orderly traffic within the geopark, and to enhance visitors’ travel experience, the Traffic Police Brigade of Jiuhuashan Global Geopark Public Security Bureau will implement phased traffic control measures on selected road sections starting from March 11, 2026. The details are as follows:

I. Control Schedule and Rules
From March 11, 2026, ongoing traffic control will be implemented.
From Sunday to Thursday, traffic restrictions will be lifted at 17:00. A maximum of 1,500 vehicles will be allowed to ascend the mountain each day. Once this limit is reached, traffic control measures will be reinstated.
Note: Fridays, Saturdays, the 1st and 15th days of the lunar calendar, public holidays, and periods of severe weather are subject to separate arrangements.

II. Controlled Sections
1. Partially Restricted Area
From the southern section of Lianhua Avenue near the lower courtyard of Wuxiang Temple to the northern section of Tianmen (First Gate) on the mountain road.
2. Fully Restricted Area
From Tianmen (First Gate) southward along the mountain road to the core geopark.

III. Control Measures and Applicable Vehicles
1. Vehicles belonging to local residents and organizations within the partially restricted area may enter upon verification and approval by the geopark traffic authorities.
2. The fully restricted area is closed to all vehicles, except for geopark shuttle buses, law enforcement vehicles, and vehicles necessary for residents’ essential daily activities within the core area.
3. Any violations of this notice will be handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Public Security Administration Punishments Law and the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China.

IV. Additional Information
This notice takes effect upon release. Traffic control measures may be adjusted dynamically based on visitor flow, traffic conditions, and weather. Please follow updates from the official Jiuhuashan Global Geopark platforms.
All drivers entering the geopark are kindly requested to follow the instructions of traffic police and help maintain orderly road conditions.
