On March 14, Jiuhuashan Scenic Area convened its 2024 Cultural Relics Conference and Conservation Training Workshop to implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and President Xi Jinping’s directives on cultural heritage preservation. Deputy Director Wang Shiqin chaired the meeting, emphasizing the imperative to advance heritage conservation through creative reinterpretation and innovative development.
The conference mandated transforming cultural relics into dynamic educational resources that instill cultural confidence and social awareness. Key priorities include clarifying conservation responsibilities, strengthening protective measures, and rigorously enforcing territorial management accountability for relic security. Participants resolved to establish a leading task force for heritage protection, improve interdepartmental coordination mechanisms, and foster multi-stakeholder collaboration to form a cohesive conservation network.
Wang stressed that all relevant departments must intensify conservation efforts, elevate public awareness of heritage protection, and enhance law enforcement patrols. Through wholehearted commitment and concerted action, Jiuhuashan will pioneer new chapters in preserving its cultural legacy.
