On the evening of April 9, Jiuhuashan Scenic Area unveiled its inaugural Nighttime Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition at Shenguang Ridge Plaza. The performance commenced with the melodious folk song "Four Seasons of Jiuhua,"followed by Huangmei Opera classics "Returning Home Together"and "Picking Wild Herbs,"whose lyrical tunes and nuanced artistry immersed audiences in Anhui’s operatic traditions. Sichuanese Face-Changing—a mesmerizing art of instant transformation—drew gasps of amazement, while the primal drumbeats and vigorous vocals of Chizhou Nuo "Umbrella Dance"(a national ICH masterpiece) transported spectators to ancient rituals. Guichi folk ballads like "Rice-Planting Chants"exuded rustic authenticity, and dances including "Ballad of a Small Town"and "Spring Mountains"captured Jiangnan’s grace through ethereal movements. Each performance garnered thunderous applause, with attendees eagerly capturing the cultural feast on camera.
This monthly nighttime cultural plaza initiative—featuring ICH demonstrations, folk arts, and local product market stalls—aims to enrich visitor experiences after dark, highlighting Jiuhuashan’s commitment to integrating cultural heritage with tourism while enhancing high-quality industry development.
